JOB ROLE: SENIOR MOBILE Engineers - Android or IOS Developers.

JOB PURPOSE: 

• An Android or IOS developer responsible for the development and maintenance of applications aimed at a vast number of diverse Android and IOS devices. Your primary focus will be the development of Android or IOS applications and their integration with back-end services. You will be working along-side other engineers and developers working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and creating quality products is essential.

KEY TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILTIES:

• Translate designs and wireframes into high quality code

• Design, build, and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable code

• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application

• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs

• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization

• Building and Designing advanced Android applications for Android platform

• Cross-functional team collaboration to design, define and ship new features

• To use and work with outside APIs and data sources

• To perform unit test to ensure usability, robustness, edge cases and general reliability

• To work and make sure improved application performance and bug fixing.

• Continuous evaluation, discovery and implementation of new technologies to maximize the efficiency of development.

• Working in synergy with others to constantly innovate app functionality and design

• Documenting project plan and technical specifications

• Test applications and provide support for each mobile application

• Regularly fix bugs every time it occurs.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATION & SKILLS

• Education: Minimum of First Degree in Computer science, Computer Engineering or any other physical sciences. Additional related qualification will be an added Advantage

• Specialized knowledge: Minimum of 4years cognate experience in mobile Native development programming language - Java for Android or  Objective C -Swift for IOS.

• Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes. Proven working experience in software development working experience in iOS development for IOS developers.

• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services

• Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices

• Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning

• Ability to design applications around natural user interfaces, such as “touch”

• Familiarity with the use of additional sensors, such as gyroscopes and accelerometers

• Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks

• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements

• Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications

• A knack for benchmarking and optimization

• Understanding of Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines

• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git

• Familiarity with continuous integration
